The National Lottery Awards recognise the incredible difference that Lottery-funded projects have made to people, places and communities across the UK. Closing date is 20 March 2008.

The National Sports Foundation (NSF), funded by Sport England, provides match funding to facilitate and encourage partnerships between private investors and community sports projects in England. The scheme complements the similar SportsMatch programme. SportsMatch deals with supporting projects requiring £50,000 or less and the NSF programme deals with projects requiring more than £50,000. http://www.nationalsportsfoundation.org/about_foundation.html

Nationwide Building Society has teamed up with the Heritage Lottery Fund to invite nominations for people or groups who deserve recognition for community or voluntary work that has made a real difference to people's lives. The closing date for nominations is 28 April.

The Small Grants Programme is part of Nationwide Foundation's Supporting Families programme and has the following aims:

To promote the well-being of young men, women and children whose lives have been affected by domestic violence and to reduce the prevalence of domestic violence through increased service provision, education and awareness raising
To improve the quality of life of families with a member or members in prison, through the provision of services responsive to their needs
To provide young people who are or have been involved with the criminal justice system with a rehabilitation programme designed to obtain the skills, confidence and personal support networks to enable them to lead fulfilled and successful lives

The Trust supports environmental and conservationist groups in the UK. Grants are available to fund projects that deal with specific environmental and/or conservationist problems. Small grants range between £100 to £10,000. http://www.naturesave.co.uk/naturesave_trust.html

Save the Children and British Gas have teamed up and provide funding of up to £1,000 for projects that change the lives of children and young people in your community. Higher-level Awards of up to £5,000 and £10,000 will be available in future funding rounds - so look at the website for updates. The next deadline for completed applications is 28 March.
