Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards benefit local organisations (in the areas where Tesco has stores) whose core work supports children's education and welfare, children and adults with disabilities, and elderly people.

The Tesco Charity Trust is inviting applications to its Community Awards scheme. The scheme makes one-off grants of between £1000 and £4000 to provide equipment or practical resources for projects that directly benefit children, older people, and adults and children with disabilities living in the local communities around Tesco stores.

The Tilley Awards publicise the use of problem-oriented approaches to crime reduction and what can be achieved by tackling crime in a different and more strategic way. Deadline for entries is 25 April 2008

The Townscape Heritage Initiative is a grant-giving programme under which Heritage Lottery Fund supports schemes led by partnerships of local, regional and national interests, including the voluntary sector, that aim to regenerate the historic environment in towns and cities across the UK. These Grants are available to Voluntary Sector organisations that provide social care services in Leicester or Leicestershire & Rutland.

Grants of between £100 and £700 are available for tree-planting projects by schools and community groups within the UK who are able to show that children under the age of 16 will be actively engaged in the planting projects. Plantings should take place during National Tree Week, 26 November - 7 December). The closing date for applications is 31 May.
