The Yapp Charitable Trust makes grants to small registered charities in England and Wales, whose annual expenditure is less than £60,000. Grants are for core running costs and salaries and are to provide continuation funding for established work only. Closing dates for 2008 are 26 May and 30 September 2008.
The Scarman Trust, with the support of the Northern Rock Foundation, is offering grant awards of between £2,000 and £5,000 for individuals or groups to run a project for their community. They are targeting people who identify with one or more of the following: homeless people; lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender identity; black and minority ethnic communities; substance misusers; asylum seekers or refugees; young people from disadvantaged communities. Youth Music is to close all its Open Programmes on 15 December. Youth Music's current five-year strategy ends in 2010 and (assuming it gets further funding)it will launch a new Open Programme in the summer of 2009 (after a period of consultation and development.http://www.youthmusic.org.uk

The young people’s panel; Leicestershire Youth Bank have £575,000 to give out to projects across the county.
The closing date for applications is 9th April 2009. Please note the closing dates this year are earlier to allow projects taking place across the summer months to benefit from the funds.
