The J Paul Getty Jr Charitable Trust aims to fund projects to alleviate poverty and misery in general, and unpopular causes in particular, within the UK. The emphasis is on self-help and enabling people to reach their potential. The Trustees favour small community and local projects which make good use of volunteers.
